New Melt! Booking tour dates: WhoMadeWho and Friends
The Danes are on the loose again! In spring 2011, WhoMadeWho released their mini album Knee Deep. Their sound is more sophisticated than ever, and their live shows debaucherous as ever. WhoMadeWho’s next album is also in the making and due for a release in February 2012. In addition, the boys from Copenhagen will play eight gigs in March!
The Brooklyn-based Friends will also release their debut album in the spring of 2012. Even though, Friends haven’t been around for two long, the four-piece band already gained praise from critics at CMJ in New York. Luckily, we’re also catching up pretty fast across the pond. The British Independent, for instance, described their sound as “a slick slice of indie pop with a great stuttering beat, an addictive bassline and confident vocals”. After their debut single “Friend Crush”, Friends released a second single, “I’m His Girl” via Lucky Numbers as a little album teaser. The band will also come over to Germany for gigs in Berlin and Hamburg.
